English Club www.englishclub.com

This is a great website with a lot of resources for ESL education. There are resources for both ESL students and ESL teachers, which I thought was nice. For students, there are activities to practice grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. There are also ESL games and quizzes students can take online. Students can even find penpals from all over the world to write to in English, which I thought was great, I really like the idea of penpals. For teachers, there are several lesson plans and activities for different levels of students.

Solutions for English Teaching is the subtitle of this online teachers¡¯ resource site full of downloadable PDF format lessons. In order to access the site, you must register, however, it is free. Once on the site, teachers will find lessons on all kinds of English teaching, from reading, writing, speaking and listening to exams, games, culture, British English and American English. Although most lessons can be applied to the language learning environment, there is a special section for ESOL/ESL. Lessons are categorized according to levels (elementary, intermediate and advanced) and labeled according to the skill to be developed. To scaffold the lessons, you can select which level you would like to download within each reading selection. Reading selections are often authentic non-fiction pieces that cover a wide variety of topics within the subject areas of social studies and science.
